2009

  • Conductor’s Choice – first performance with new conductor Ken Rogers.
    • Celebrating the South – conductor Ken Rogers. Premiere of “Waterton” a 4 movement suite by Howard Cable.

  • Alberta Provincial Music Festival 1993 – Gold Band received the following awards after performing in a variety of classes attracting over 120 bands from the Western Provinces and the Northwest U.S.A.
  • -Silver Trumpet Award for Outstanding Band in all categories
  • Superior Band Award – Senior Class Grade V
  • Chieftain Development Award
  • Provincial Music Award – Band Grades 4,5 and 6
  • Most Outstanding Band in Provincial Category
  • Sight Reading Award Grades IV and V
  • Cardston Festival Award – Most Outstanding Band at Provincials

  • 1993-1996 -Flathead Community Band Exchange – Flathead Montana

  • 1997 – Allen Vizzutti, Trumpet virtuoso – Guest Soloist 10th Anniversary Concert

  • 1999 – Medicine Hat Community Band – Silver band invited guests
  • 1999 – “Copland in the Coulees” a joint project with Rotary and Lions Clubs
  • 2000 – Opening of Lethbridge City Hall
  • 2001 – -Regina Lions Band Exchange – Gold band invited guests to Regina
  • 2001 – Westwinds Music Society clinics
  • 2001 -“Howard Cable conducts Cable” – a joint concert of Gold Band and the U.of L. Wind Ensemble
  • 2002 – Premiere of a commissioned original composition by composer Howard Cable, "McIntyre Ranch Country " and Fiat Lux ( a march composed for the University of Lethbridge)
  • 2002 – first “COMMUNITY BAND DAY” – guest band Regina Lions Adult Band
  • 2002 – recorded broadcast of concert premiere of McIntyre Ranch Country by CBC FM
  • 2003 – C.D. recording of works of Dr. Howard Cable with the University of Lethbridge Singers, Erin Thrall (vocalist) officially launched October 17, 2003.
  • 2003 – Commissioning and premiere of concert band transcription for Euphonium of Concerto del Garda byElizabeth Raum – soloist Rene van de Vendel
  • 2004 – “You Must Remember This” with Howard Cable and the Mantini Sisters
  • 2005 – World Premiere of “Good Medicine-A Charlie Russell Suite”, composed, arranged and conducted by Dr.Howard Cable
  • 2006 – Spring Centennial Concert with clarinetist Margaret Mezei. Silver Band concert with guest Tom Dooley
  • 2007 – 20th Anniversary Concert with guest trumpet virtuoso Jens Lindemann
  • Autumn Gold – guests Vox Musica and Glenn Klassen and conducting debut of Doug Scales.
  • 2011 - guest clarinetist James Campbell
